While these are not the ultra-cool SWTOR-branded products, Razer always delivers high-quality mice and keyboards to take your game to the next level. MER has four exciting gifts to send out to those listeners who follow us around the ‘net this week and here’s how to find them:

After launching this contest we were informed that we would not be receiving an Orca headset to give out. The good news is Razer is giving a Naga to give you. The contest for the mouse is the exact same contest for the headset. Anyone who emailed us the correct answer for the headset will automatically be placed in the drawing for the mouse. Welcome To Mos Eisley Radio: A SWTOR Media Network and Fan Community!

For over two years, Mos Eisley Radio has been bringing its own brand of high quality discussion to the Star Wars: The Old Republic community. An overwhelming sense of gratitude goes out to the community members that have made MER one of the top podcasts on iTunes, as well as having given fans of BioWare’s game a safe place to call home and meet so many new friends with whom to enjoy the adventure.

Out of this community, came many more independent web projects which are of a high caliber in their own right. One of these projects was Alan Shot First, formerly known as 90 Seconds With Alan, brought to you by the dedicated, and already hard-working, forum moderating Alan Nauman. Alan’s vid-casts have themselves become a staple in the weekly diet of the SWTOR fan while the countdown clock continues towards December 20th. Alan regularly brings to the community his own take on the big news of the week and always encourages input from the forum-goers.

While MER has tried to breakdown the upcoming game from multiple angles and for various play styles, there is another podcast which knows that there is another voice that often goes unheard: the casual one. Sunny’s Diner has, in its short tenure, provided a “podcast for the rest of us,” which not only gives voice to the busy gamer of today’s world, but brings a level of cool-headedness to often hot-headed debates. Every week, hosts Sunny Ravencourt and Radicool serve up a four-course helping of SWTOR goodness that leaves you satisfied, but always craving more.

Today, Mos Eisley Radio is proud to announce that both Alan Shot First and Sunny’s Diner will be joining forces with MER founder Zach Brown and co-producers Evan Lewis and Leo Andrie to create the MER Media Network and make this every SWTOR fan’s favorite stop for news, entertainment, and camaraderie. If there had been any worries that the game we have all been waiting for might keep productions like Alan Shot First, Sunny’s Diner, and Mos Eisley Radio from appearing as frequently as they do, rest assured, you haven’t seen anything yet. Since we are about to have our discussion / review or the recent SWTOR Novel “Revan” we are having a little contest. We want to give away a digital copy of Revan through iTunes. Community Cantina

Pax Prime is nearly around the corner so we wanted to tell you all about a little event the crew over at Darth Hater is throwing called Community Cantina. Those of you who remember this event from Pax East will agree with me when I say this is going to be more fun than Jabba’s Sail Barge. Well I imagine hanging out on the sail barge would be fun as long as you aren’t killed. Anyways MER will be attending this and would like to invite any of our listeners going PAX Prime (or just in the area) to join us. We would love to meet you. Pax Pass Giveaway

New Contest: Pax Pass Giveaway

We haven’t even announced the winner of our previous contest and we already have another one for you! We think you’ll agree, this is our biggest yet!

What’s this big prize? How about two passes for PAX Prime in Seattle August 26-28th, 2011? That big enough for you?

Based on our last contest you might expect that we want our constituents to engage in some sort of competition. A prize this big might even call for a duel to the death! It was mentioned, but we decided it might lead to a decline in listenership. Even though this is a huge prize, contesting to win it is very simple. All you need to do is go onto iTunes, write a review for our podcast, good or bad, it does not matter, email us a copy of your review for verification purposes with the title “#PaxPassGiveaway” in the subject line of your EMAIL, NOT in your iTunes review. That hash-tag/pound-sign is simply to make categorizing all the incoming emails easier for us. I repeat, do not use that title in your iTunes review. On the day following the final day of eligible entry, a name from the list of submitted entries will be chosen randomly.

That’s it.

Of course, there are a few things to keep in mind. We are only giving away passes for the event. All other expenses are on your own accord and your own dime. Trust me, if we could afford to pay your way, we’d both be going. Please, only one entry per contestant. Multiple entries from the same email address, or entries from multiple email addresses verifiably belonging to the same person, WILL BE REJECTED. This is not out of spite towards anyone who really wants to win, but to maintain fairness amongst all contestants. This contest is open to all listeners, regardless of geographic location, but again, we are only providing entrance to the event, not a means of travel to Seattle, nor accommodations. We are not Bioware.

To answer a couple quick potential FAQ’s:

If you’ve already entered an iTunes review for us in the past, no second review is necessary. Simply email us with a reference to your posted review (screen name, date of post, & a verifiable email will suffice). You will be eligible just the same as someone who enters after the date of this posting.

Why iTunes and not Zune Marketplace? iTunes has the largest user base of podcast distribution services the world over. Also, having reviews consolidated to one source makes things infinitely easier for us to collate all the reviews. If, for some reason, you’re an Apple hater and you hate innovation, iTunes is free to download, sign up for, use, and, should you so choose, to delete.
