The past couple of weeks have been extremely exciting for Mos Eisley Radio. We’ve launched two new series, Podcasting in Basic and Open Bounty, and have received some fantastic response from the community thus far. That said, the podcast is still our bread and butter, and this week we sit down to discuss the news and hot topics from the past two weeks. Bioware has confirmed SWTOR’s presence at this year’s PAX East in Boston, and we dig into the possibility of a release date announcement, as well as other expectations for the conference. Also, story keeps rolling in with the addition of the 17th planet, Quesh. This triggers a discussion on planet size, and whether or not it actually matters to most players. Finally, we round everything out with the current status of playable species, and some comments from Lead Writer Daniel Erickson on why we haven’t seen more.

We want to offer a big thanks to R Y for taking the time to leave us reviews on iTunes.

Music for this show was provided by General Fuzz. Check out more of his work at generalfuzz.net

Sorry I haven't been on WoW. Otherwise, I hope all is well.

20 minutes in so far. F* iTunes. takes too long to get. Direct download is much quicker.
Still trying to make PAX East plans. Not quite sure if we can make it for the actual convention but I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Hey guys,
Great job as usual!
Also, if they wanted to include some ridiculous playable character species, my first vote would be Rancor.
Think about it.
You could be a Rancor.
... on the less comedic standpoint, I would definitely enjoy playing as a Wookiee.
I know, it's been shown TO DEATH, but it'd still be fun.
Thanks,
Red89

In regards to the time line i think Xavier is correct on all counts but the release date, as the 25th is a Wednesday and games ALWAYS launch on Tuesday (in USA), save the games that are going for the "1" effect. (dates such as 1-1-11 or 11-1-11<this is a Tuesday or 11-11-11< Friday)

there for it would be the 24th or 31st of may or 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th of June. Honestly i don't think the open beta is a big deal, they have only been uses as a way to spur preorders. The biggest reason a late may or early June release is likely is that Like brooks said, dragon age is out in march, and despite what Zach said these games have the same audience as far as gamer demographic, and will be competing title in the market, also with Mass effect 3 coming out for the holidays any3rd quarter release is right out even September is too close. i believe a June release is the most likely, this will be the year of bioware and it will be a big one for em.

Thanks for all the hard work guys! I have jury duty on Wednesday and will definitely put this on my phone to listen to while I'm sitting in the waiting room.

Zach and Brooks - remind me to buy you drinks at PAX!

Arrrgh that sucks man. I had a 2 week federal case I severed as a juror on a year or so ago. It was very boring. Glad we can help.

Zach, they always dismiss me, I am related to too many people in law enforcement - my uncle is a very high level corrections officer, a cousin is an ADA in NYC, another cousin is a US Attorney and worked directly for Don Rumsfeld when he was Secretary of Defense. So no defense attorney wants me on their jury.
