With SWTOR in full swing, we are joined by Bill from Ask A Jedi to discuss the latest post-launch updates. Is Bioware working on a Mac compatible version? What other platforms are they considering? How is the latest patch affecting your income? What changes might we see forthcoming in the current test server’s 1.0.2 patch? We discuss all this and more in the latest episode.

Another excellent episode. It's interesting to hear how casual that many from the fan site community are taking leveling. I thought I was WAY behind at level 34, but apparently I am ahead of the average level of podcasters...LOL!

Ahh...another day of boring work spiced up by a MerCast. I finally got my main to 35 but have been playing around with 3 others characters and took them out of their home worlds and onto the next planet. Just for something when I'm bored with the main.

I usually seem to be 1 to 2 levels above the planet I'm going to next because I've been doing every quest I can get my hands on. Although I've been skipping the Heroics so that in my future characters I have something to try so everything isn't a repeat.

Space combat could be really pushing me further along though since I usually do them almost every day. I just got a few new missions here at lvl 35 and just those two gave me 40K+ xp. The older ones are down to about 10-15kish. I was kinda scared in the fact that one of the lvl 35 missions basically was a carbon copy of an earlier one with different objectives and a little more study fighters to shoot down. Hopefully they don't reuse missions to much or it'll get pretty boring.

As far as snow up in ND we've only got enough to kinda cover the ground right now. Think we're probably a good 30-40inches of short of what we'd usually have by now. Not complaining, working through 6 ft drifts even with a snowblower isn't much fun.

Keep up the great work!

I liked your discussion on the "other" platforms a lot. Love the rampant speculation. If SW:TOR could actually pull off a solid console port that was cross-platform, that would be amazing, not to mention gain access the literally millions of additional consumers.

But in all honesty, this seems like it is deep on the wall of crazy. But not impossible - Sony/Square Enix is leveraging their Final Fantasy IP that works so well on the PS3 and porting that MMO.

My personal interpretation of this is that if there are additional platforms, it won't be full ports (at least not for a long time).
One great example: space combat mini-game as an XBL/PSN arcade game. How awesome would that be? Ship upgrades, comms, XP and credits within a nice little arcade game, and toss in the Xbox/Playstation Achievements for good measure.

Also, GTN and crew skill missions on Android and iPhone seems like an eventual natural path. I certainly know that I would be on my phone all the time while at work to get this stuff progressing. AFAIK, only one other MMO has a real mobile app tie-in (other than an authenticator), and SW:TOR could take this to a new level with the crew skills.

Great show guys! Good to hear from Bill!

As far as the 'other' platforms go, I love the idea of minigames connected through xbox live/PSN. As well as app management for companions/crew skills etc. However, other than coming to the Mac fans, Linux sounds the most feasable. However, I wonder what possibilities lay in Google's Chrome OS or Android even? I mean with technologies like OnLive already paving the way for streaming games, a browser based version isn't as hard to imagine as once thought.

As far as leveling, I find myself playing very casually due to my busy schedule trying to limit playing when my wife and son are asleep or out of the house. I am only 23, and feel behind, but also try to remind myself that this is a marathon, not a sprint. :-)

I am loving the space combat, and yes, there are battle where you are attacking huge destroyers and such, the 4th and 5th missions get into that a bit. Multiplayer of any kind would be welcome.

Love the show guys, thanks for the quality content!!

Re: alt-tabbing. They changed the default setting on this from Fullscreen (windowed) to just Fullscreen when the went to production. If you don't want it to minimize every time it loses focus, you should change it back to Fullscreen (windowed). You'll need to restart the client once you make the change for it to take effect.

Ah have to restart client. I changed this setting a couple of times and it didn't behave as expected. Recently I noticed that it was working properly. Must have kept the setting on at somepoint and thus restarted the client. Makes more sense now
