The first official week of The Old Republic is in the books and the MER crew has gathered to see how it’s going and look ahead to upcoming patches. Besides the recent patch 1.0.1, they also take a look at James Ohlen’s developer preview of the first big patch of 2012. Alan, Leo, Zach, and Evan lay down their thoughts, predictions, and only a few gripes regarding their experiences and what they’d like to see happen in the coming months. Also, they answer a whole lot of your questions and give us another update on the activities of MER’s official guild.

Quick note: iTunes did not show all of our recent 5-star reviews at the time of recording, but we do thank all that have left us 5-stars and we will give you the proper shout-out next week! Thanks again!

Hey guys, I was listening to the Podcast,
I had the same issue on my server having a huge queue when trying to log in when i get home from work.

I kept looking for a free way to log myself in from work.

Logmein.com

Its a program that has to be running on your pc, but I just remotely control my pc from work and log myself into the queue.

Havnt used it as much now since queues are a lot smaller for me.

But I had my computer auto turn on at a specific time and had it auto run that program. Then logged into Logmein.com and just ran swtor from there and logged myself in.

Seems like a lot of work but it was rather easy and funny. I just hate having to sit in a queue, but server has calmed down a bit.

Great episode you guys got a solid rhythm now. Even your tangents are insync ^^.

From Evan and Leo Scotch and Bourbon extra reel it reminded me of a joke. Not too appropriate for work or kids btw.

Great episode, as usual. In regards to the new content coming, wasn't there a Star Wars book called Red Harvest that deals with a virus or plague? Not sure if it's in the same timeline though, just remember something along those lines.

Red Harvest and Death Troopers were set during the Galactic Civil War era, if I recall correctly.

Leo. Preach on brother. I despise Corso. I play a female character, so I'm a little worried that he might end up having to be my love interest.

I cannot WAIT until I get my wookie. Although, the love interest thing with him could be hairy. See what I did there?

YAY! My HoloCam made the Episode Pic! WOOT!

I'm still running into 15+ waits after about 7pm at night until midnight or so. And while I patiently wait to get in I see about 15 servers that are at standard...sigh. I will persevere!

Haven't tried and PVP yet, to busy having fun with my character. I've got my Warrior Marauder to 30 and then have a Inquisitor Sorc and Bounty Hunter Powertech to 12. One nice thing though is you can go through your starting planet and get to 12ish in about 4-5 hours of just some easy play. Nice for a break on your main. I end up parking them in a cantina for the rest xp and then whenever I get into the spot where I feel like I've played my main to long I switch over one of them and burn through the rest xp and get a level or two.

I was sorely tempted to throw in a Revolver Ocelot reference when we were talking about using auto-run to keep your place in-game but I thought it'd require too much explanation.

Still makes me chuckle.

+1 to whomever knows what I'm talking about.

I haven't tried this out myself to remote in from my iPhone, but I just watched this today and am dying to give it a test.

Death Troopers is set during the reign of Palpatine, Red Harvest is its prequel and is set during the Old Republic.
Also, Red Harvest is terrible. Worst book ever.
