If you haven't checked it out yet, www.r2-DB.com is the wowhead/thottbot of SWTOR, and it's awesome!! Since the NDA drop they have a sweet skill tree calculator; an amazing section about the crew skills, and so much more! Plus, they were at the last fansite summit so are on of the sites being encouraged by Bioware.

So go check them out!

Honestly, I would like to throw my support behind R2-DB because they were at the Summit and were a couple of hard working/dedicated SWTOR fans. TORhead might be nice, but anytime I can help support another fan site like MER I want to do it.

Check em out!

- Alan

I want to support them but I really don't like their search functions. torhead has so many precise filters to help you find exactly what you looking for. I explored the site a little bit but unless I'm missing something, I won't be using R2-DB until they do some improvements. I am purely talking about their item database system though, the rest of the site is fine.

The R2-DB guys were awesome at the summit, I got to see some of what they have planned and I think it blows Torhead out of the water.

They have stated as well that they will be improving on the site. Considering its a first outting for them, I take it as that anyways, you have to give them time to get to the level that Torhead might be at. Not to mention Torhead has all the old coding to go off of from Wowhead.

Hey I'm all for giving the little guys a try, however they only have 25 items in their item db and the skill trees are in question. Am I'm missing something? Do we know are they planning on updating it soon? What kind of update schedule will they have after new patches are released?

I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but I gotta side with Animus on this one. If they don't get their db updated soon, the reality of Google ranking will take over. Let's hope they can get the db updated, it would be nice to have additional search options.

I agree, Torhead has the jump on them, but they also have a larger staff than r2-db I'm sure, and so I imagine had people already gathering code before R2. I follow R2DB on twitter, and I know they are working hard to get everything up. The NDA drop caught everyone by suprise.

One thing I will say, R2-DB has the support of Bioware, and that will get them a long way. I know Bioware has plas for them, and will probably give them some exclusive stuff. I agree with Animus, their item database needs some work, and some filters, but when they do that, plus the rest of their site, i think they will be a solid contender.
