Orphaned at a young age Idunn became a scavenger to survive. She would smuggle aboard ships to go to other planets when her presence was becoming noticed. Eventually she found herself on a small world with a Sith outpost on it. The outpost was formed long ago and forgotten as its strategic value was no longer relevant. The outpost was still manned by a skeleton crew of Empire agents including one particularly evil Sith lord.

Eventually a Twi'lek Jedi Knight named Frey'ven came to the planet while she was in her teens to assess the strategic value of the outpost and investigate rumors of experiments that were being done. He was captured by the Sith Lord when he was ambushed. With his incredible foresight, a unique skill he had since he was born that although helpful in most situations was very random and uncontrollable, he was able to see he would be freed although he did not know how.

A few days after his capture he started to sense an anomaly in the force but he would always sense it at the same time while he was asleep and it would wake him up just after the anomaly was no longer detectable. After a few more days of awkward sleep he decided to put himself into a deep meditative state that would allow him to wake at any given moment but also appear to any outsider that he was asleep. Within a few minutes a young girl in her teens emerged and started to rummage through the room scavenging what food and supplies she could find and then disappeared back into the ducts as fast as she emerged. After studying the young girl for several days he made contact with her explaining who he was and what he was doing at the outpost. After earning her trust the Jedi found that she had an unusual ability to mask herself from the Sith in a way to not allow her to be sensed through the force. He found this unique passive ability to be something worth exploring at a later time.

Idunn as he learned her name helped him to escape one night while most of the complex was deserted as it was most nights. Seeing as the experiments that he was able to investigate before his capture would lead to nowhere he found the power source that ran the complex and set it to overload allowing the distraction to help him escape and hopefully destroying some of the complex as well. The plan worked a little too well however, destroying the entire facility. The only ones to survive were Frey'ven, Idunn, and the Sith Lord that somehow escaped in a small hidden ship. Frey’ven brought her with him after the mission was complete seeing it as destiny that he found her.

He later took her to the Jedi Council to ask their permission to train the young girl in the ways of the force. They of course approved especially after they realized that she was a descendent of the famous Visas Mar. She later used her as well as Frey’ven , the Jedi Knight that found her and opened her up to the galaxy, as an example to live up to. As she had never known her full name, Idunn being the name she was given by another young scavenger boy she met earlier in life on a another planet that was killed by gangs, she took on the name Mar in honor of her family and kept the name Idunn in honor of her friend.

Only time will reveal what the force has in store for her.....
