So for those looking for a good graphics card on a budget, or someone with an older computer, I wanted to recommend the graphics card that I just purchased. The1GB AMD 6670. It's the ONLY GDDR5 low profile graphics card there is currently. I got it for $85 from Amazon($95- $10 rebate during March).

So now let me tell you about my system.

I was given a Dell Optiplex 360 from my father-in-law(free is free), and was immediately looking at how I could upgrade it to play TOR with minimal cost. It has a dual core pentium @ 2.6 ghz, slower but doable. It had 2 GB of DDR2 800 RAM, and I've since upped it to 4 GB of DDR2 800, which is all my motherboard will handle. I upgraded to Win 7 from Vista. It also only has a 255w power supply.

I originally ordered an AMD 6850, but when it arrived I realized it wouldn't fit in my computer because of how the motherboard was installed(stupid dell). And I would have had to upgrade my power supply.

Well I am happy to report that I am able to play TOR with all the settings on high and AA and Shadows on and I had NO lag in warzones!

And did I mention TOR is on a USB external drive? :-) just more proof TOR works on the low end machines, with a decent graphics card!

All settings on high and AA and shadows? No way... My PC blows yours away, and those settings cause enough missing frames for me to turn them down to medium. Proof in the pudding that something about this game was not coded well.

Yeah, I'm finding it hard to believe that system is running the game maxed out with AA and shadows..

How big is his monitor? Perhaps he's playing at way lower resolution than you.

Personally I've been tempted to switch from my 24" wide monitor to my 43" Plasma TV... but that's just me, I am a firm believer in bigger is better when it comes to screen size.

If I had a place with a spot for an 80" SHARP Aquos Quattron, I'd get that bad boy to run it...That's just me though, the 43" will have to do, but I haven't figured out a time where I can do that. My fiancé will most certainly not allow me hijacking the TV to play SW:TOR... haha
