The only problem I have with it is when they were talking about the dark side and light side of the Force. True Star Wars nerds know the Force has no side. Dark side and light side is based off how you use the Force. Some Jedi use "dark side" powers, Kyle Katarn as the primary example, used both Force Grip and Force Lightning. Luke Skywalker used Force Choke when entering Jabba's Palace in Episode 6. 8-)

True true fans know they were quoting Obiwan Kenobi from Episode IV. Also, you silly grey force users need to stop flip flopping and pick a side. :P

Animus only SOME believe the Force has no side and its what's within the person that determines their malevolence. Yoda is an advocate that there is indeed a Darkside and Lightside. The most notable person with the "gray" outlook is Vergere. The ancients were aware of two sides, Ashla the light and Bogan or Boga the dark.

Vergere was actually a sith though and was basically lying to Jacen Solo the entire time which is ultimately what lead to him become a sith in the same fashion as his grandfather.

It has been made pretty clear that the idea of the Unifying Force which was put forth in The New Jedi Order was all phooey, and that the force truly has both a light and darkside.

Way to derail the thread... j/k  . But when you get down to it, this discussion could get as in depth has real life theology. I prefer the belief that it doesn't have a "side", and it's how you use it that counts. Kind of like a gun, it can be used to murder people but it could also be used to protect people. :geek:

Honestly it is pretty much treated like theology because there has never been a clear and definitive answer given on the subject. In fact many EU sources are quite contradictory on the matter of whether or not the force has two sides or is completely neutral in the matter.

I mean for instance, there are Gray Jedi in SWTOR from what the Devs have said with being able to be neutral. The Imperial Knights are another example of grayish jedi though they have sworn to kill the Emperor should he not follow the lightside of the force.

It is a very complicated matter.
