Diablo is one of those games that I just sort of play on my off time or when I need a break from whatever I'm playing. It gets pretty in depth, but its definitely one of those where you can just kill things for an hour or 2 and you've got your fix :P TOR will be raping the majority of my free time though lol. It'll most likely be my new WoW.

Sounds like we'll be having some MERC Diablo 3 nights though doesn't it lol?

Don't get me wrong, I love Diablo and Diablo II, but I've never understood how people can play it over and over and over again. I get so bored doing the same few quests in each zone. I'll still be getting Diablo III, I'll just probably never play it again once I've beaten it. However, a fun community (like ours) can make a boring game a lot more fun.

No Crackerbox, you have to think in a different way. Diablo isn't about the quests, it's about leveling and about loot. Tbh I only played the single player one time, ever. I couldn't even get through hell, but in the multiplayer it's all about getting the loot and being the freakin best in all of Diablo history. I played Diablo 2 for.. 3 or 4 years every day, I made hundreds of Mephisto or Pindleskin runs a day just to play a new character and equip him with the best loot possible.

Agreed, there is something therapeutic about mindlessly blowing up wave after wave of demonic hell spawn.

See, I was never able to get into the whole loot grind. Like I said, having people to talk with while I played probably would make a difference.

Well I guess Diablo isn't your type of game then. I love to do hundreds of runs a day and I will do it again.

Yea im looking forward to this game as well, but i don't see it stealing any time away from TOR, not like Battlefield 3 and Skyrim might.

I have to be one of the few people out in the world who have very limited exposure to the Diablo franchise.

I was never a fan of strategy type games like Warcraft and Command and Conquer as I couldn't really keep up the level of play needed to beat those games. I know Diablo is nothing like that, but at the time I viewed it as another Blizzard product and probably a tough one as well so I passed on it. Eventually I did snag a copy of Diablo for the Playstation but I can honestly tell you that disc's barely spent any spin time in the machine.

Once WoW (take a drink) was out for a while I gave it a shot and enjoyed the game as I figured I eventually would, and that led me to get the box set of Warcraft 3. I've come close a few times to getting the Starcraft one.. and at one time almost grabbed the Diablo 2 one (believe thats the set they have out there). I just don't know if I'll grab D3 myself.. as frankly, I'll be happy with TOR, and some Xbox games as they come out later in the year (Skyrim!). I was almost tempted to get Starcraft 2 when I heard about it coming out... but then when I heard they were gonna milk it by dividing it into 3 games I passed on it. Who knows.... maybe if Futureshop (canadian version of BestBuy) puts the Diablo set on for cheap again I might grab it... unless its already dirt cheap.. haven't looked in ages.

Oh.. and cuz I haven't mentioned WoW (take a drink again) to get you more liqoured up, theres the reference again.

Sure, just go to battle.net/ log into your account -> (if you don't have one.. create one!) click on account -> click on beta profile settings on the right and just sign up. You have to download the client to scan your system though and upload the results to the battle.net
