Open Bounty 006: Stephen Reid

Post by Brooks » 01 Apr 2011, 17:32

In the last of our interviews from PAX East, Stephen Reid chats with us about his role as the Senior Online Community Manager, and what guilds and fansites can expect from Bioware over the next couple of months.

Great vid, sadly MR. Reid is the guy who gets asked all the "were not talking about that" questions".

but i think your questions were different from the normal slew of questions these guys receive.

Hmm something interresting I thought about when watching the video. When Zach asks Mr. Reid about the Guild Headquarters and it launching so early around the 5:00 minute mark, and then Mr. Reid says at the 5:18 mark, "Is it early!?" with a very mysterious puzzling look on his face when he looks into the camera, then he says "not commenting on that". Perhaps I'm reading to much into the statement. What do you all think?

I think you're being overly hopeful and he's just playing with us. :P

In all seriousness, it's a debate about if the pre-guild gathering was launched too early. If you compare it to the game's launch, perhaps, but maybe they're using it during "open beta" (I say this in quotes to represent the last, largest beta session. It may or may not be completely open.) to make sure that system is tested and worked out, too. Maybe that's what he's hinting at. And maybe "open beta" will only be open to those registered with a guild since there's so many who want in already! Hmm... maybe I should sign up with MERC.

Slight wave of hand: " these were not the words in the interview you should have been looking at"
