Welcome to another episode of MER and we have quite the special one for you this week. Alan joins us fresh off his trip from Austin where he attended the most recent Bioware Guild Summit. We are also once again joined by friend of the show JD as we recap on all the latest information and speculate on where the game might be going next. You don't want to miss out on this one.

I tried to catch as much as I could of the live stream and while there was some neat stuff I really felt that it was a let down. Almost every question that was asked was a "That'll be in 1.2 or later" answer with no real meat to the answer other than that verbatim phrase. I realize that some of that stuff they can't say "Yes" because people will call that gospel and then all hell breaks loose.

I just kinda thought that either they didn't prepare for this very well or just did it to try and drum up a frenzy for announcing 1.2. Sounds like it was a great time and saw ya when you asked your question. Gave a quick cheer for ya. :)

All in all it wasn't bad but just not something that felt needed a summit since it was mainly "This is 1.2" any questions? Oh, direct it back to 1.2 or future updates.

Good discussion once more. Thanks guys!

OMG....THEY TOOK OUR JOBS. Yeah. rolling, but been playing the drinking game so it's helpin.

And as I got to the end of it I do think that Alan took out of this what I hope they were looking for. Everyone brought together and coming out stronger and more centered. Get the core going and move it out and encompass more people.

Yet another *great* episode!

But, I have to ask what may be a question lost on all the info about 1.2...

Why have a Guild Summit without demonstrating the new Guild Features? Flashpoints are fun... BUT did it NOT occur to the BW folks that Guild leaders were there for, or because -- they were Guild leaders and wanted to know what tools they would have to look forward to?!?!?!?

Sorry, but after hearing about what they did let those who attended play with, I found myself actually muttering "oyvay..."

Maybe I'm just dense and if so, I'll shaddup and climb back under my rock 8)

At the end of the Summit they asked for feedback. I stood up and said the ONLY thing I would have liked to see change at future Guild Summits (if they have them) is more attention to the guild aspect of the Summit.

They told us that banks are in. That's great! Let us mess around with them. Also, they said the next big guild thing will be calendars. Ask us our feedback on what we would like to see in them. A few people did express some things they would like to see, but bottom-line, the guild conversation was only 45 minutes like every other topic.

I had a great time and wouldn't change the experience for anything, BUT I would have liked to have been a little bit more hands on with the new guild functionality.

- Alan
