After finishing my listen, (and having first stolen from me! *shakes fist!* ), I have the following to say:
What is the line for taking names from other things? Apparently, we hate Final Fantasy 7, so... jk. But if I named my Trooper 'Barret', also a FF7 character, would that be loser? Or would it have to be harder to recognize?
I use a variety of sources when making my character names. Being a Gamemaster for various table top RPGs, I am constantly making and naming characters. It is why I can forgive Blizzard for characters like Harrison Jones. Eventually, you can just run out of ideas. XD
A lot of my character names are from Asia, typically China or Japan, since that is where I studied in college. In my signature, Shilong is a bastardization of Chi Long, who is a Chinese demon who was shot by 1,000 arrows on the battlefield and did not die. Another name I frequently use is Shokatsuryu, which is how the Japanese say the name Zhuge Liang, who is a famous character from the novel 'Romance of Three Kingdoms' in China.
Is the only reason I am not a loser is because I am not ShokatsuryuLVR or some sillyness? (Sorry, some devil's advocate for you.

)
Also, you guys made me contemplate which of the classes I was starting. I am playing a trooper in my free time with MERC, but whenever I play with my girlfriend (who wants to be a Bounty Hunter), I had to choose an Imperial character and went with Sith Sorcerer. But because of the frequent glow rave stick references, I again contemplate if I should try the Agent first. By first, I do mean that eventually, I will play all 8 class stories from 1-50 eventually.
