MER Episode 09 Pre-Poll: What unconfirmed planet do you want in SWTOR?

So with the recent announcement of Balmorra this now gives us at least six confirmed planets in TOR. The other planets include Tython, Korriban, Coruscant, Hutta, and Ord Mantell. I have to figure we will see a few more planets announced in the coming months in addition to these. So this raises the questions, what one planet do you want to see in the game more than any other unmentioned so far? Tell us why you want that planet in the game too.

I want Ilum most, and I think Tattooine will probably be in there – it’s so iconic.

I say it’s going to be a planet we know little about, since the majority of the planets so far, with the exception of Coruscant and Korriban, are relativly obscure. I feel like Mandalore has a very good chance of being in the game because it’s so crucial to this era, but my vote goes to Obroa-Skai. It’s essentially an archive planet, with more information than any other source in the galaxy, and I would spend hours here pouring over lore. Also I’m a huge lore nerd, and I recognize that the likelihood of Skai’s appearance is probably pretty slim.

I think that Tatooine would be cool especially because Mos Eisley and such aren’t around yet.

But above all, the planet I want to see most is EARTH! BUM BUUUM BUUUUUUMMMMMMMM! But they’d have to hide it, like in Spore. (only kidding of course)

Bah, I had not realized Ord Mantell was in the current list of planets that were GOING to be made, so was going to add that to the list. Teach me to vote without reading!

Gotta be Kashyyyk. I mean, who wouldn’t love a planet full of wookiees?

One trend I’ve noticed is that none of the planets are the homeworlds of species that are likely to be playable. Coruscant has the Taung and Nal Hutta has the Hutts, but neither of them are likely to be playable. So I’m betting that there won’t be a Ryloth, Glee Anselm, Dac, or any planet where a PC species comes from.

Corellia would be my suggestion as I am a Han Solo fan, but additionally I believe a planet with a significant history of ship production could add to the galactic struggle for systems.

I can’t believe I forgot about Corellia! That is one that should have been on the list.

Anybody know if Kuat is a relevant planet at this point in time? I’ve always wanted to pilot a fighter through a space battle at KDY dodging flaming construction rigs as they plummet towad the planet against the backdrop of huge cruisers under construction. I already voted for Obroa-Skai, but if piloting becomes a well implemented part of the game, I’d switch to Kuat.

I voted other. I want to see Dagobah. I would love a swamped jungle atmosphere And I’d like to see insight on why there’s that cave with the dark force energy in it (that Luke had his trial with in training). They could do something with that cave and other hidden force powers buried deep in Dagobah’s jungle/swamp.

NOt sure why people are so into Tattooine, it has to be one of the most visually bland planets in the SW Universe. From a visual standpoint i have to give my Vote to Kashyyk. That or Mon Cal. Although i doubt we will see either. A Yavin would be amazing as they could delve into more of the History of the Ruins found there (even if they put in any of its Moons).

Love all the suggestions. I think my vote would have to go with Han Zahn for Corelia. The shipyards would be a great backdrop to a great political story if you’re Sith / Jedi / Trooper or some back-alley happenings if you’re Smuggler / Bounty Hunter.
